The Seeker. My first remarkable friend was The Seeker. I met the seeker when I started to consciously improve my life with personal development. At this stage my journey leaped from the passive state of existence to conscious acts of power. Of course in the beginning when treading the path of personal development you make a lot of mistakes, there are many dead ends, and you need to figure out what works and what does not. You also need a healthy dose of forgiveness for others, and for yourself, as this is the stage where many quit.

The key life lessons I learned from The Seeker are the fun of the journey, the excitement of the path, the newness of it all. Patience and forgiveness need to be present here because when starting out in personal development your steps are slow. You do not gain momentum until you have been at it for some time.

The Tribal Caretaker The next gracious and remarkable person to enter my life was the Tribal Caretaker. This amazing female introduced me to the goddess energy and how to look after a community of people. It was an amazing experience, in this present age, to be introduced to tribal ways, while living in modern suburbia.

Amazing as it was I found it very challenging. My personal development at this point was at a crossroads. I was working a job in the corporate world and, to my friends at the time, had status, security, and corporate ladder advancement. It was like living in two different worlds. Two different realities. I did not like it for the most part. The corporate world has a hard yang energy, very left brain thinking, and has total disregard for your feelings. I found the corporate world a very cold place so I left it.

Nevertheless I was used to a male dominated environment. Being in the world of the Tribal Caretaker was like reversing the poles. Nearly everyone, although not all, of the people attending the classes were female. In the beginning this was hard for me but looking back now this experience showed me many lessons I needed to learn. This massive introduction to the goddess energy, the power of the feminine yin energy, changed my thinking forever.

Some of the lessons I learned from the Tribal Caretaker are the importance of the group, that is the community, you live in. My intuition and creativity also received a lot of training. I stayed with the Tribal Caretaker for a number of years and it was during this time I met my next remarkable friend.

The Ex Corporate turned Sustainable Living Coach. This gentleman showed me change is possible, even in the later years of life, he was in his forties, and a new career is possible if you want it badly enough. The Ex Corporate turned Sustainable Living Coach worked in a corporate job until his health broke down. He deteriorated to such a degree he could no longer work anymore. He was in a bad way.

He then made a decision that changed his life forever. This man wanted to live and after getting over the initial shock of broken down health, put so much energy into finding out about, and living, a healthy lifestyle his life changed 180 degrees for the better. In fact he gained so much information about health and sustainable living people soon started seeking him out. Voila! A new career is born as a coach. I like him because he has been to hell and back.

I always admire such people, the underdog, it looks like they are going to lose, yet they come back with such vigor it amazes you. The main lesson I learned from this remarkable man is that a career change, a life satisfying one where you help yourself and others, is possible at any age if you really want it.

The Shaman. The next remarkable person to enter my life is The Shaman. The Shaman, as they have for centuries, introduces you to other dimensions and worlds. This individual has a very high level of personal development and I am happy to say a close friend.

The main lesson I learned from the The Shaman is that everything in our lives is energy. The quantum physicists intellectually tell us this. What The Shaman does is to create the experience for you, as part of your journey, SO YOU FEEL THE ENERGY AS PART OF YOUR EXPERIENCE.

Then you have the best of both worlds. You have an intellectual understanding, from your mind, and feeling from the heart center. This is true balance which gives you real knowledge about situations. Thank you Shaman Bro!
