Personal development success in any endeavor, whether it is reiki or meditation or anything else, depends on the right attitude. The absolute basic minimum requirement to learn anything new is to have an open mind. A fresh, relaxed, approach and attitude allows new ideas to flow. In this world if someone thinks they know everything, they will learn nothing. I learn from everyone I come across. Some have more to offer than others.
Resistance and rigidity to new information is deadly for personal development. A closed mind is the doorway to ignorance. I have noticed in my own experience with personal development the more interest and passion on a subject the quicker I learn it. The whole point of self empowerment is to enhance your life and make it better. We leave out the useless things that contribute nothing to our lives. We keep, and add, what is necessary to our purpose. Life is meant to be an exciting journey.
Finding out about new things makes the journey enthusiastic and soul satisfying. Only with an open mind, free of rigid opinions, and a healthy attitude is this possible.
