Throughout the history of humankind people have asked themselves WHAT IS LIFE FORCE? After all what, in the final analysis, gives us humans life and energy and the ability to exist on this planet? Many ancient cultures talk about chi energy, life force, pranayama, and universal energy. What we really wish to do with life force is to have the ability to bottle it and control it. So far we have not found a way to bottle it but some measure of control of life force is possible.

There is evidence that people know how to accumulate this chi energy all around us. A karate master can focus his forces and break a piece of board into two pieces with his bare hands. In personal development seminars they teach the firewalk process. The firewalk involves walking over hot coals, many hundreds of degrees in temperature, barefoot without any physical damage. Some people have even learned how to send Reiki energy many hundreds of miles around the globe, by focusing a form of chi energy, to a total stranger in another country.

Many more examples of life force energy abound in our culture. We do not need to go back to ancient Atlantis, Babylon, or presand Egypt to discover esoteric knowledge. This esoteric knowledge is here already. In yoga classes all over the world the breathing art of pranayama is taught to yoga students. Prana is a word that means vital force. Pranayama is a form of breath control. A yogi uses breathing techniques to alter the inhalation and exhalation process. By doing so vital force is accumulated in certain areas of the body, just like a dam full of water, to be used for specific actions that the yogi desires.

Years ago I studied Tai Chi. Our senior instructor got us to practice the movements outside, rather than inside a room, because the chi level of the natural outdoor fresh air is higher and would assist our movements. I asked my Tai Chi instructor what was the best time of the day to practice my tai chi. He replied between 4am and 6am since this is when the earth chi is most vital. But there are other methods of accumulating vital force and Tai Chi is only one example.

Many people gain extra energy from raw, freshly juiced, vegetable and fruit juices. There are plenty of good books on raw juicing. Organic foods is another method of direct assimilation via food. Each substance we take into the body has a certain level of vibration. When we consume it in our bodies its vibrational frequency becomes a part of our own. I predict that this branch of knowledge will become very popular with science one day in the near future. Biodynamic farming, with its emphasis on frequency, is getting more popular by the month.

Feng Shui is yet another example of conscious use of universal energy. By making a harmonious environment, respecting and working with earth, fire, and water elements, good harmony and a healthy lifestyle is produced. If you are lacking in energy, enthusiasm, or life force there are plenty of suggestions given to you in this article. We might not yet know how to place life force in a bottle, but managing the chi energy we already have, and there are many current methods available.
