A lot of the New Age is recycled information. Take a pinch of UFO crop circles, add a touch of channeling from the Egyptian goddess Neth, and then mix some truth about the secret universal Law of Subtraction and there you have the New Age. It is a mixture of information which represents everything yet means nothing.
Back in 2002 I graduated as a Yoga teacher. Now time has moved on and it is near the year 2010 and I am still waiting for the next wave of wisdom. It has been a long time since the New Age, or maybe we should call it the Old Age, has delivered something new to us.
The information available is not matching the inner growth of individuals wanting to improve themselves. What we want is to become empowered. Teachings from twenty years ago, recycled and repackaged, are not doing the job.
Many are awakening to a more expansive consciousness. There is a natural wish to experience and enjoy the journey that goes along with inner growth and development. There is an inner cry for spiritual leadership yet no one to fill the void. It must be our karma to struggle in the dark.
The seeker has another problem when first entering the personal development path. A sincere desire for information is often taken advantage of by ones who put out false New Age wisdom which sounds good, makes sense, but leads to no inner growth. In fact it takes you in the opposite way away from the truth. The seeker thinks he is on the path of development but in fact his spiritual bank account is empty. If there is enough interest I will do a blog on valid spiritual practices.
