Some people can change their minds quicker than the wind. When I first started blogging in May of this year I used to visit a social media site of psychic leanings.

There I met an individual online who proclaimed himself as “Healer” and “Energy Master Guru “. I used to contribute my original articles to this site. Some of the articles were 500 words in length and mainly in the field of personal development.

Everyone else and the psychic medium.

This social media site had a comments section and under every article of mine he used to contribute such wisdom as the following…

Less is more.
Go with the flow.
Words are empty, only action talks.
Words create confusion, your articles are too long!

Years ago I learned to take control of my own mind and now have the ability to not be hurt by the criticism of other people. This can only happen when your personality is servant to your inner essence. Your essence, that is your spirit which is the real part of you, is the leader and your personality, which is the social mask we all carry, is only here to serve spirit.

But many have this backwards. In these cases personality is master and essence is pushed down or even ignored. No inner progress is possible with this state of being.

Mental Mastery

You can develop your self control to a very high degree which is the path to self mastery. In college I used to work a crap job to pay the bills. The total environment was negative and I was only there for the money to pay my college tuition.

Back then I was meditating two hours every day in the mornings. It was then when I began to have mystical experiences. I said the work environment was negative. The boss used to swear at me and treat me like dirt.

Yet it did not upset me. My meditation practice offered me much protection. When you meditate on a regular basis you build energy grids within yourself where you cannot get upset. A regular meditation practice is my own personal therapy and much cheaper!

Blogging is Beautiful

Now blogging is a beautiful thing. Not only can you communicate your message all over the world you can also make money from blogging.

Have a look at my side panel on this blog. They are my sponsors and each time someone buys a product I get a commission. I believe in the products I sell and sincerely know they offer service to my readers. I only put quality products for sale on my blog and leave out the rest.

Now this ” Energy Master Guru ” saw what I was doing online and got a strong odor of cash up his nostrils. His attitude changed towards me over the next few weeks and under my consistent and frequent articles to the social media site I began to see comments like the following.

Well written Jim.
You are contributing much to this site.
This social media site is lucky to have you.
Only the great Shakespeare is a better writer than you!

I Smell Cash

Unlike the spider to the fly, or the fox and the hen, I was aware of what was going on and the complete change in niceness towards me, or as we used to say in college, his SUCKING UP to me.

My blog had started to turn over a few dollars. He seeing this commenced something similar to myself online. Not really plagiarism but his actions should have won him an academy award for its delivery in an online environment.

His being nice to me was no doubt fueled by the thought in his brain I SMELL CASH ! The smell of cash in our modern world is almost enough to twist anybody to do anything. It is something we all have to live with these days.

Can You Do Me a Favor?

About one month after receiving these nice comments and accolades, priming my mind he was to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, I found one morning a personal message in my inbox. Here is the message quoted from memory.

Dear Jim,
I have my own psychic development site
which will be the next big thing online.

It is about meditation, personal development,
and building a better world. I am not a writer.
Would you mind using that great brain of yours
and start submitting your articles to my site so
it will benefit my readers and the world at large?

Thank you Jim,
Awaiting your kind reply,
Mr Energy Guru.

LOL!

LOL! After reading his inbox message I gave a belly laugh so hard my ribs hurt and I leaned back with gusto almost losing balance in my chair and falling backwards. This laughter of mine masked the tragedy of the situation. Of course I did not reply. Would you?

Come Sway with Me…

Imagine what would have happened if I listened to Mr Energy Guru and stopped writing in the beginning. Sometimes we let our guard down and take on the thought of others.

We allow others to sway us. We make these thoughts, even though they are not in our best interest, a part of us. This is all right if they are positive ones and work for our benefit. But if they are negative these thoughts only weaken us.

There are times when you have to believe in yourself and stuff the negative ones who do not have your best interest at heart.
