This book was published in 1965 and sold over three million copies in hardcover. I am inspired by her life story and it is nicely narrated by Ruth Montgomery in an easy to read style.
After publication of this book Jean Dixon became a psychic celebrity and a much sought after psychic reader for the Washington social set in addition to the beginning of her own syndicated horoscope column printed in newspapers worldwide.
I am fascinated by the psychics in history, the clairvoyants of old, and whenever I hear about a psychic feat, a new type of energy healing, or a personal development teacher who has worked out a new approach I like to have a look at it in its entirety and then reverse engineer, or take it apart , and work out how he or she did it.
The stage magician shows you a trick, which is part performance and part skill, but conceals his method. I like to go into the background and attempt to work out how he did it. Genuine psychics differ from the stage magician in that they are sincerely using psychic gifts to be of service.

I like the book THE GIFT OF PROPHECY: THE PHENOMENAL JEANE DIXON by Ruth Montgomery and it has many gems of wisdom in it, especially if you can read between the lines. For example Jeane Dixon never set out to be famous or to be sought after by presidents for insight, but the rich and famous wanted a psychic who could read accurately, and Jean found herself in this social position, and was called upon to be of service.
A natural young musician might find herself in the same position from a social point of view. This young musician has so much natural talent and ability she does not need lessons and can play the instrument better than the one teaching her. The question arises how do some people without any formal training have such talented gifts like in our musical example?

Tabloids in the mass media are good at this kind of put down. A certain mathematician coined a term the “Jean Dixon Effect” which basically means that when a psychic makes numerous predictions only a handful that come true are given prominence and the remainder that do not come true are conveniently forgotten. This blanket term is a feeble attempt to fit all psychics into a box. Yet we have already discussed here how you cannot fit the heart center into the intellect center as both have different functions and capacities.
Nevertheless you do not need to know calculus, quantum physics, or even have a photographic memory to work out if a psychic is more often right than wrong. Working out if a psychic is genuine is a simple matter.
