Anyways I am sitting in a leading Melbourne Hotel having a drink with some mates and this female comes up to me and says she reads my blog. I asked her what she did for a living. She said she was a hotel psychic.

I asked what a hotel psychic does. She said she gives tarot card readings to international travelers in hotels, plus the odd rich and famous client, that comes to the best hotels in the city.

She said she paid forty bucks for her tarot cards. I asked her what price she gets for a psychic reading. It was considerably more.

I meet the most amazing folks in hotels. She mentioned she was happy about being her own boss. I knew she was right. I could feel the energy.

Human Happiness is a book written by Blaise Pascal. He lived in France from 1623 to 1662. In it he talks about the silly things folks do to make themselves unhappy. He talks about the lengths we go to to please others while at the same time sacrificing our own happiness.

He faced much of the same challenges we do today. Albeit with many restrictions around him he managed to make a substantial contribution to folks by giving service. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING he says, yet I still like him. He has a nice energy. Have you ever met anyone with a nice energy about their presence?

I find the large city international hotels have a nice energy. Large and spacious, in swank surroundings, this is the ideal place to give a psychic reading if someone wants one.

Now I have to tell you something. You are probably going to laugh at me but never mind! Everywhere I go I carry a pack of Tarot Cards. Even if its going to an event unrelated to psychics and psychic readings. My experience is there is always one person , no matter where I go, who what WANTS a reading.

Who am I to argue with public opinion?
