Conversation with A Friend

Today we need information that is credible and is going to point the way. Let me show you my fresh new content in the field of personal development and self empowerment. After a recent blog post of mine on “Friends” I received an unexpected and much welcomed visit from my good friend Josip Golic.

He dropped in to see me and he had much to say. Thinking back now I should have taped our conversation and put it here for you to listen to at your leisure. I did the next best thing and jotted down some notes during or conversation.

Here are the core subjects Josip and I discussed last Sunday.

1. Synchronicity.

Events sometimes flow from a source that is unexpected and pleasant. It seems like everything is going your way. This is called synchronicity. It is when apparently unrelated events mesh together and flow towards you bringing a harmonious result.

There is a way to build up synchronicity in your life where circumstance is mastered and your destiny taken in hand. It is a state of being and one of empowerment. Start your own personal development plan , begin working on your self, and watch the synchronicity begin to flow in your life.

2. World Religion and Beliefs.

I mentioned to Josip how by the age of fifteen I had been exposed to three of the world’s largest religions being the Orthodox church, the Catholic faith, and Buddhism at the ripe old age of 15 years. The last one, Buddhism, I picked to follow myself and decided to live by its principles.

There are many different religions and philosophies upon the earth today. Religion forms the mold for a belief system from an early age which seldom, if ever, changes throughout an individual’s lifespan. It shapes their thoughts and actions in many ways that are obvious and in other ways more subtle.

It is very hard to get a person to change their religion because it has deep roots from a very early age. The best way is to respect all religions, since they all have some truth in them, and then begin to take responsibility for your own thoughts and actions which will lead to an empowered way of living.

3. Power of Mandalas.

Mandalas are symbols of great power. Inside a mandala is an energy code which heals and releases blocks within you. It is very empowering. The next wave of personal development will include mandalas to raise personal energy and to release age old blockages where energy remains trapped and unable to be put to good use.

4. Energy Drain.

Some people on this planet drain energy. Many are now becoming aware of human energy fields and how they react with other people’s energy. Some people drain energy and some give energy.

The energy drain occurs when others dump their junk on you. They cannot, will not, deal with it themselves so , if you are a person of higher energy, they will give your their negative “stuff” at the first opportunity. Plus there is the phenomena of sucking energy from you and trying to add your energy to their own. This is another cause of energy drain. The stealing of energy from others is not a crime on earth, though it should be, but it is an unconscious survival mechanism of many people to steal the life force of others.

5. Lost Civilization of Atlantis.

Many scoff at ancient myths and legends of great , age old, civilizations of the past but by this they only show their ignorance of true world history. Current, traditional, history only goes back to the so called cradle of civilization in ancient Sumeria some 4,500 years ago.

The reality is it goes back much, much, further than this. Atlantis was a great civilization with far more advanced technology than we have in use today. They unlocked the power of crystals to run vast cities and to power space vehicles. Atlantis existed for a period of 200,000 years before it was destroyed by spiritual corruption. It is similar to what is ruining our society today in that the principles of destruction are the same. When true spirituality vanishes a society collapses.

6. Personality and Ego.

Josip calls it ego, I call it personality. Both are the same we are only using different words to describe the same facet that is a part of everyone’s mind. I made the statement that the personality squashes the spiritual part of a person and prevents further growth and progress upon the path. I came upon this truth when studying the great spiritual teacher Gurdjieff.

Many esoteric schools of inner power say that before one can begin on the path of real knowledge you must first die to the old you. What they mean by this is that the ways of the personality, or ego as Josip calls it, must be made to serve the path of spiritual growth. It is no easy task. We are all conditioned by life around us and this does not favor spiritual growth. The personality is very good at blocking one’s spiritual growth forever since it does not like to lose its dominant position in the mind.

7. Cooking for Others As A Spiritual Act.

Leaving society to live in an ashram and going to a cave to meditate are extreme measures. The simple act of cooking for strangers is a spiritual act of kindness. True spirituality is to welcome others.

The danger for modern man is he lives inside an invisible circle. The circle is called the ME…ME…ME circle where only his own self interests are considered. The rest of humanity is invisible to him. A life of self interest creates all kinds of problems. It is a dangerous way to exist because in this manner of living you have to pull others down to lift yourself up. This creates a massive karmic debt that must be paid off and the only one who can do it is the one who lives inside the ME…ME…ME circle.

8. States of Consciousness.

There are two states of consciousness being sleep and the waking state. Sometimes another, more elusive, state of mind is experienced in flashes and this is a higher state of consciousness. Visions, lucid dreaming, and deja vu all belong to this category.

It is a more expansive state, one that seems more real, and can be entered at will by some. Meditation and spiritual practices are the gateways to this increased awareness. Anyone can attain them with some effort.

9. Positive Environments.

A positive environment can make a big difference in how far, and how fast, you progress. When a small but dedicated group of people get together and meet for the purpose of self development inner growth is rapid.

10. Spiritual Adepts.

A spiritual adept is very rare these days. To find one you have to be extremely lucky. If you are fortunate enough to find a man or woman of great spiritual empowerment your chance of gaining true spiritual knowledge is greatly enhanced.

The spiritual adept acts like a beacon of light transforming the darkness around the seeker into light. This is the meaning of esoteric alchemy which is inner transmutation of the unstable to the stable and from nothing to something of value.

11. Higher Self.

He is a Shaman of the modern kind. One that makes it under the radar. He has no blog, no large following, but is an absolute master at all things metaphysical. I learned much from him over the years. Living quietly in modern suburbia he does not seek a large following or to be popular in modern culture. But he can do something that many new age fanatics cannot do. He can move energy to any location on the planet.

Back in 2002 I achieved the distinction of teaching yoga for a living. Yes I was indeed a professional yoga teacher. By that time I had several mystical visions under my belt and truly thought I ” had arrived”. A wise man once said to me you meet the people you need to learn from and along came the shaman. Upon our first meeting I did not think much of him. My fellow yoga teachers and I used to travel all over the city doing workshops and seminars and we thought we knew it all. We had worked with, and trained the best minds and bodies in the city, or so we thought.

I remember my very first meeting with the Shaman. He invited my over to his place for a coffee and mentioned his interest in “energy work”. I was amused at his comment because back in 2002 I could already slow my heart rate down to quite a low level with pranayama breathing exercises and used a dharana concentration technique to focus my mind on an outside object so my body would feel no pain which was useful for some of the more arduous yoga postures.

The Shaman mentioned he would direct energy at me after I arrived home.
“What?” I said. “How can your energy travel over distance I live 10 miles away!” I blasted out flabbergasted.
“Wait and see,” said said the shaman, “All you need to do is to be aware, that is all.”
By this time I sincerely thought this dude was smoking something. And that something was not cigarettes!

We parted company and I arrived home. Upon the stated time, I remember it well it was 10pm that night, my body was surrounded by tingling vibrations and I started getting hot. Not uncomfortably so but the temperature felt like it increased by several degrees within seconds. I was getting very hot and my body tingled. I looked around and there was no one in the room with me. I did get a little frightened. I was surrounded, for a better explanation, by an invisible energy ball!

The distant energy persisted for 15 minutes and then subsided back to normal. Well I was impressed! This event happened years ago and much, many different visions and mystical experiences, some together and some apart have occurred with my Shaman. What did I say at the beginning of this blog? Oh yes…I stand on the shoulders of giants…

Friends Are a Blessing

Every individual on this planet is unique. Each person has varying levels of creativity, generosity, and talents. Friends are a true blessing in life but you need to choose carefully. Our earth has the unique environment of having humans living on it of every type and description. Its got saints and sinners, do gooders and keen destroyers, positive people and negative people. Wisdom will allow you to have the best friends while filtering out the unwanted ones.

Blow Love on Everyone

This spiritual method is a good one. Blow love and kindness onto your friends and enemies. Hate nobody. Have no anger as it is poison for you soul. Walk softly and appreciate nature. Now this a good method but it is not going to change the outside world although it has great possibility of changing your own inner world.

A Good Example

My Shaman friend is a good example. He has performed a number of blessings on me and together we have gone on many journeys. When we get together I talk about his favorite topics which include meditation, karma and past lives, other worlds, healing, and making the world a better place. See where I am going with this?

You take you friend’s energy into your soul and it becomes a part of you. My wish for you is that you have some quality friends where their strength can become your strength. It is a very empowering method. Many of my psychic gifts grew and flowered after meeting and hanging out with my Shaman friend. I call it benefits by association. I said in one of my previous blogs I do not need to be a mind reader to see what you are doing with your life. I just need to have a look at the quality of friends around you.

Walking the Talk

A famous musical composer some years ago made a song called TALK IS CHEAP. It is. Actions always speak louder than words. In 2009 I created this blog. I promised my readers back then I would blog one post per day every day. I have pretty much kept my promise.

Since May of this year many people have told me they were going to begin their own blog or website. Few have. The muso was right talk is cheap.

You Owe It To Yourself

You owe it to yourself to have good friends of much quality around you. When God created all men equal he was not talking about friends. All friends are not equal. They have inner capacities and qualities as varied as people’s fingerprints. So choose friends wisely. You owe it to yourself.
