Change is in the Air

Well last night I could not believe my eyes. I confess I spent 15 minutes in front of the TV with a family member. This is a major sin for me. I live life to the max so TV is naturally ruled out. Blogging, my friends, nature, and personal development are higher on my list than the idiot box. So they get priority and preference. By the time the evening comes around there is no space for mass media crap.

During this 15 minutes of TV viewing my jaw dropped in disbelief. My eyeballs witnessed something like it was from a science fiction movie. I viewed a documentary on a Health product that makes your energy field stronger! It blew my mind to say the least. My jaw dropped in amazement. My eyes widened so as to take all the visual information in and process it.

It kept getting better and better. The device is like a watch band that you wear around your wrist. Inside the band is a circular attachment. Inside this there are embedded symbols and codes which boost the frequency of the person wearing it. Talk about new health technology!

Anyone familiar with reiki will know that it is the symbols that carry the energy to the person receiving them. It is similar symbols contained within the wristband that gives you a vibrational lift.

Old Technology

This technology is not new. It has been in use for thousands of years. But to make a wristband and wear like a watch is certainly innovative. Imagine this. All you have to do is put on your wristband , like a watch, a BAM! You get an instant increase in energy.

Too Good to Be True

If you think it is too good to be true, well, that is what I thought. Initially. I changed my mind when the documentary said a major winning American basketball team uses these bands and a winning American football team uses them while they play their games.

Codes are the Key

Symbols have a way of retaining information and vibration. I can see how the wristband works and I perform my own energy work. I send codes and energy to people all around the world and this technology is similar. You can do a lot if you have the right vibrational frequency. It is codes and symbols that are the gateway to higher states of being.

New Wave of Energy

This new wave of energy has hit our planet like a tidal wave. It is of a much higher frequency than we are used to. Like a tidal wave everything in its path is touched by its influence. The mass media has its own agenda. But it looks like even this positive energy of the new wave of consciousness is influencing the idiot box. Warms my little heart. Now I am off to do some more research on this amazing new energy wristband. Maybe I can track some down for my blog readers.

Anyways on the weekend I visited the local Farmers Market. I like the set up and fresh air. Not to mention the fresh food in abundant supply. I enjoy giving the local farmers my support and enthusiasm. I used to have my own market stall and I know how hard these souls work and appreciate the effort they all, men and women, put in to get their fresh food available for the public.

Tasty Fruits

While buying my fresh and tasty apples and mangoes I met a stallholder. He also happens to own his own farm so what he grows gets to be sold direct to the purchaser. I always say fresh is best. Now this gentleman and I engaged in some very interesting conversation.

Chemicals Plus

The stallholder discussed the chemicals he witnessed first hand that are being used in the food industry. Being a farmer himself he has first hand knowledge of this practice. The sad thing about the entire affair is that these chemicals mentioned end up in our bodies.

Toxic Bath

Some bodies handle the toxins better than others. But a poison is a poison. Sorry folks but when I pay for food I expect it to be poison free. How about you? Yes I agree, this is not a perfect world, but within our modern way of living we have stress enough without adding more fuel to the fire.

Slow Suicide?

Imagine your weekly rubbish bin being filled up week after week without any collection to the rubbish dump. Soon it would smell, and vermin like rats and cockroaches would come, then eventually the area would become diseased. Is this what we are doing to our bodies , that is allowing the rubbish to pile up unchecked, causing us all a slow but sure suicide?

Staying Young- The Secret of Eternal Youth

Eternal Youth. This is the selling point of billion dollar industries. The message is pushed in the products we buy from clothes to anti wrinkle creams and everything in between. Hollywood and TV promote youth big time. We are bombarded with it. There is no escape. Staying young with each passing decade is ” in “.

There is a lot of good that can come from looking after the physical body. Just look at people who are ill and how much they struggle even to perform simple everyday tasks. It is a big effort for them. Yes youth has it advantages and as we get older, gaining in wisdom and the application of our common sense, why not look good as we age?

Live to Ninety and Stay Young

Years ago I managed to get my hands on a very unusual book titled LIVE TO NINETY AND STAY YOUNG by Andrew Stewart. As you open the first few pages of the book there is a photo of a man who appears to be in his thirties. His face in the photo is wrinkle free , with clear eyes, and a healthy complexion. Underneath the photo, to my disbelief, I read the following text.

At age 90,
No nasal catarrh or headaches for 55 years,
Can read newsprint without glasses,
Digestive trouble absent,
Sleeps 8 to 8 1/2 hours natural sleep,
Hearing good,
Eyesight perfect,
Good crop of white hair,
Can walk miles without fatigue,
Can drive a car,
Can sail a boat,
The blood pressure of a young man.

September Eleven Flashbacks

Do you remember the first time you saw the bombing of the trade towers in New York? The first time, even the second time, you do not believe what you are seeing. This was my reaction to the Andrew Stuart bio. It is hard to believe that anyone can live to ninety and stay young. It was stretching my paradigm about old age.

Upon delving into what Andrew Stuart had to say about staying young he made complete sense. There are many good tips in his book. It is easy to read and he has already done it himself.

Conditioned to Grow Old Fast

In our society we are conditioned to see people in their senior years not do much. It is socially acceptable to grow old and retire to the living room couch. What we need is a new way of thinking.

These days many seniors citizens are living vibrant and fulfilling lifestyles because they choose to. They are using the wisdom they have gained over the years and what they can grab hold of the new technology of youth that is now available.

Quality in Years- Not Length in Years

Life and growing old is not so much about how many years you reach. It does not matter if it is 120 years of age or less. It is the quality of living that matters. It is about the service you offer others.

Let Us Take the Time to Listen

Many seniors have worked hard and long all their lives. They have built many of the good things we enjoy today. I am not saying the older generation is perfect. Our generation is not perfect either. But Seniors have years of knowledge and experience to offer. It pays to listen to them. Youth in its attempt to hurry would get to their destination faster if they combined their young energy with the experience of the senior people in our society.

Seniors Have Much to Offer

There is nothing wrong with growing old and looking great. Being in great physical shape and looking very presentable in appearance is a good thing no matter what the age. In growing older we can be of more service to our loved ones and our community because of our growth in all life areas. The experience, wisdom, and information of senior citizens makes these people invaluable to us.

My Own Muscle Building Guide

Years ago, many years ago , and going back to a time when I was at the tender age of 16 years I started a hobby that goes by the name of bodybuilding.

I was a fanatic and training at the gym five days each week while living the full bodybuilding lifestyle for three years. Pumping iron, as they called it back then, is healthy if you leave out the artificial stimulants. I am happy to say that my three years of building muscle were some of the best and healthiest years of my life.

Sharing Muscle Information

I have a younger brother who caught the gym bug one year after I did. He plied me with questions on workout routines, protein supplements, and muscle growth formulas.

I trained him for weeks. Taught him all I knew. The tips and down to earth methods I gave him are listed here.

Your building muscle path is unique and you are an individual. This is not meant to be advice but is shown to you on this blog as a record of one brother helping another.

Tips that Fast Tracked Little Bro

1. PROTEIN. Getting enough protein is essential to build muscle. I used whey powder and made a shake with it. Whey suited me as it is easily digested.

Some of the heavier proteins used to sit and feel like a heavy brick in my stomach. I lost the feeling of lightness. This is a good sign when feeling these things as it means one is tuning into their body.

2. QUALITY SLEEP. Going to the gym was breaking down muscle. Sleep was building it back up. Sleep is regeneration. Back in those days I wanted my muscles to be bigger and stronger than the day before.

Living a discliplined life helped. Going to the gym and pumping iron five days each week for 50 weeks of the year is a discipline.

Before going to bed at night I made sure my mind was clear. This means no worry or depressing thoughts. Negativity only interrupts sleeping patterns.

3. WORKOUT FORM. From working out so much I had the opportunity to see many others do the same. The most common mistake I noticed is poor workout form.

A good example is doing standing barbell curls to target your biceps for muscle growth. Here is the proper form, or way, to do it. You are standing tall with your back straight, that is good posture, shoulders stationary. Gripping the barbell tightly with both hands you curl the barbell up to your chest and back down again.

But what I saw many do is to bend their back and swing their hips for extra momentum to squeeze more barbell repetitions out. This action relieves muscle stress on the biceps putting it onto the back muscles.

Useless! Barbell curls are designed to build up the biceps. You have to isolate the biceps to make the muscle grow. Using back muscles in a body swinging motion defeats the purpose.

Use good workout form. Your ego might suffer a little bit but your muscles will love you for it.

4. BARBELL GRIP TIP. Muscle strength has a lot to do with how well you can grip things. Often during a workout you sweat a lot. The sweat causes you to lose grip on the barbell lowering the number of repetitions you are able to perform.

At 16 years of age I didn’t have much money. What I did have was initiative. There were some old bicycle tires in the shed. I grabbed a knife and cut one up taking out the black inner rubber tubing.

I then cut this rubber tubing into , about the length and width of my palm, two squares one for each hand. Back in the gym I placed these rubber patches over the barbell where my hand gripped. It worked like a magic charm!

No barbell slipping out of my hands meant more repetitions. More barbell repetitions ( more reps we used to call it, more reps! more reps! ) meant bigger muscle mass and better muscle definition.

The thing is the triceps , which is the back part of the arm, make up two thirds of the bulk of the arm mass. If you just trained your biceps and forgot about the triceps muscles growth in the arm area would be slow. See how basic knowledge of anatomy is required for your gym training?
