Near my home lives an 86 year old man. He is not your usual pensioner. He walks his dog everyday, sometimes twice a day, cooks dinner for his daughter who visits him and keeps him company. I wonder if he is going to beat the Century mark. I hope he does. He has achieved one of the dreams of many seniors and that is staying healthy during the latter years. I walked past him just last week, stopped next to him, and announced to him, “You walk like a thirty year old man!”

“I wish,” he replied beaming back at me with a big smile. He told me he was 86 years of age. The age impressed me. Then I got a little more serious.

“You are a great example to all the seniors that live around here,” I said, ” They can all learn from your healthy habits.” We talked for a few minutes more. I hope I made his day. Many Seniors are shown little respect these days. They are either carted off to a retirement home to be out of the way or left all alone in their dwelling, often without visitors for months on end. This is not a society for the elderly. It makes me sad.

If someone told me ten years ago that I could be psychic I would have thought them crazy. We all have, and that means you reading this blog, far greater potential for psychic empowerment than we give ourselves credit for. Everything in the world is energy. Living your life, the way countries work, and the interactions of people all have an energetic basis. Intuition and Hunches. Living in a dominant left brain society has its advantages and disadvantages. Using the left brain is logical and ordered and great for routine. It is not so good at creativity and problem solving or using the intuitive faculties of the mind. How many times have we had a hunch, a still small voice within, telling us to go one way while we listened to the logical approach with the result being disaster?

The disadvantage with logic is that it cannot sense energy. We stated before everything has an energetic nature and this is why FEELING ENERGY IS SO USEFUL. When we use our intuition and listen to our hunches, combined with use of our logic, it is the best use of our sensing faculties. Now the trouble is some of us have been operating without intuition for so long we have forgotten how to use it. We need to reawaken this sleeping giant within us.

Open Heart. Not much mention is made of the heart these days and it is a shame. The heart center, where the anahata chakra sits, is a very powerful part of a person. It has amazing abilities to sense energy and filter information. The heart has its own intelligence, it is another brain really, and it is warm and generous.

Opening the heart does take time. Many people have been so hurt in life that the heart center is closed down. It can make one more vulnerable by opening the heart but it makes one powerful in the sensing of energy flows. I prefer to sense energy. If the energy of a situation is cold and has a negative slant I leave it alone. Lucky for me I can sense this at the beginning which saves me from many headaches and upsets.

Meditation and Spiritual Practices. There are many reasons why the popularity of meditation is increasing. Meditation is self empowering in the sense that it allows you to use more of the mind. When we delve into being creative and problem solving this is a useful skill to employ. Many find that soon after beginning a meditation practice their intuition grows stronger as they begin to listen to the silent and still voice within.

The Children and The Train

PREFACE

I was abused in my childhood and suffered much injustice. Nevertheless out of a painful childhood I developed a lot of what people call compassion. This human value lets me read life in a totally unique way. Events and signs talk to me, they speak to me in a language I can understand, and I see signs everywhere. After writing this short piece about The Children and the Train I released a lot of painful emotion I accumulated as a child. You know I love children. They are our future after all.

The Children and the Train

I caught a train into the city. I casually sat down and enjoyed the view looking out the the window. When traveling on a train I always try and get a window seat. Looking outside as the train travels reminds me of watching a movie. It looks as if the outside scenery is moving but, of course, we all know the curious effect is created by the movement of the train.

The train stopped and a group of school children got in along with an adult. The children, I’d say there were about fifteen altogether, between the ages of five and seven years, noisily with great energy talked among themselves. I politely offered the school children my seat, and with my safety in mind, moved to a position in the carriage which was far away enough yet close enough to observe what the children were doing.

The adult , standing at about six feet two inches high, then went on to impart “wisdom” to the children in the guise of “safety” lessons. My memory downloaded the following conversation ,”No children listen here! Are you listening?”, shouted the adult, “Do not stand in the doorway, do not be rude to strangers, do not….,” I will not bore you with the Martin Luther King quality speech.

The adult must have mentioned the phrase do not about seven times in the space of two minutes. It was a total ego trip. One of power. Not a bad effort for the Guinness Book of Records, I reckon. Do we want our children to be safe? Of course we do. But the adult could have slipped at least one yes in there, I thought. Children are more perceptive than we give them credit for. They absorb the energy of the person they are around and this energy is recorded in their little minds. In this case the energy I observed was all negative.

Many of them, with their natural ability to absorb information, took on with absolute faith everything that was said. The reality of the situation is that the adult was basically telling them that they didn’t know how to think. That they should transfer all their acts and thoughts to the adult. Once a human being moves, or in this case gives away, their center they lose power. The power to decide, take creative action, and to act with the highest intention for all is denied them.

This also sets up neural patterns of thinking in the young mind that acts like a negative feedback loop. If the energy of anything is negative the only result you can get from it is going to be negative.Then a person starts a personal development program later in life and wonders why it is so hard to make progress. It is because the foundation of early life is built on pure rubbish.

I loved looking at the children, oh, and you know what, I shouldn’t say, but I had a favorite. A young male rascal, at around five years of age, was looking out of the window the entire time his so called “Adult” in quotation marks was speaking. Looking out of the window and enjoying the scenery. We choose. Happy traveling!

The Lonely Old Man

PREFACE

I was SOLD A DREAM when growing up that went something like this, “Now Jimmy, work hard at school, then get a good job, then buy a house, then get married, then you will have to be a good husband and and pay off your house, then you can live your senior years with respect and dignity and enjoy a nice retirement.”

It was a good sales pitch. I bought it in the beginning. But as the years went on I met many seniors in our society. They did not look very happy to me. Hey, I thought, this sales pitch has holes in it! BIG GAPING HOLES. Lucky for me I woke from my sleep and found some better salesman. Some people are not so lucky.

The Lonely Old Man

The other day I was shopping in one of those huge mega market type shopping centers. I love the setup. You get grocery, banking, hair care, in fact just about anything you want all under one roof. All this material prosperity is abundant, yet it strikes me as rather strange only about one person out of ten looked happy to me. The rest of the people looked like they were about to sit on an electric chair and drive their astral body away from their physical body forever.

I bought myself a coffee, in the food court, sat down, to sip it slowly. I was enjoying my own company, and coffee, when a man in his senior years, say around seventy years of age, sat next to me.

“Hello,” I said,”What are you doing today?” I asked.

“Me and the wife shopping,” he replied in a thick European accent.

“Good on you,” I said, ”You’ve worked hard all your life and now in your senior years deserve to have not a care in the world.” A look of sadness swept over his face.

“This country,” he went on, ”The kids no look after the parents. They all leave, and the poor parents are left to fend for themselves in their old age,” he said as he looked at me with despair.

“I understand,” I said. I wanted to say more but could not. For this gentleman it was too late for him.

Metaphysical class 101 says that one such universal law is how you treat others and the situations you make others endure, the same will be returned to you. Well, maybe its not all his fault, and everyone has lessons to learn, but the fact is, as he stated to me, this man is alone and his children couldn’t care less.

Maybe he did the same thing to his parents. Maybe not. But one way to get out of a feeling of loneliness is to become a friend for others. Keep them company. You have to give, then you receive, and you will cease being lonely.

The Goddess Kali and the Man on Dollar Street

PREFACE

There is nothing wrong with having money. Money is energy, being such it is neutral. Fire can be used to cook a great meal for people to enjoy and it can be used to burn people causing serious bodily damage. It is the intention, that precedes the act, and this makes things good or evil, not the actual substance itself. People have choices. We make our own chains that bind us. We can also find freedom and escape to a better life.

The Goddess Kali and the Man On Dollar Street

The goddess Kali is very beautiful but she can be very cruel. She sits on her angelic throne watching the universe and destroying old worlds so new ones can be made. If Kali blinks an eyelid she can create an earthquake or a tidal wave and cause massive planetary destruction. She is the original weapon of mass destruction.The goddess Kali is watching a man who lives and works on Dollar Street. His job is to lend cash out to people and his sole objective in life is to sell his service to anyone, no matter what. Unknown and unaware to the man of Cash Street the goddess Kali is watching him and saw the following.

A young, recently married, couple enters Mr Dollar Man’s office. They are in their twenties, full of hopes and dreams, and deeply in love. Their jobs only bring in a little money so they have no savings plan. All the young couple want is to be together and care for each other. Mr Dollar man didn’t care about any of that. Mr Dollar man knows the young couples ability to pay back the cash is pretty slim.

Two years later the young couple lost their jobs and could not pay back the money borrowed. They lost the property they purchased with the cash, and their marriage sadly ended in divorce. They were both torn apart by the experience. But Mr Dollar man didn’t worry about it.The goddess Kali is very patient and does not act impulsively. She sits observing the scene unfold, allowing people to exercise free will. “What I’m seeing is not making me happy,” thinks the goddess to herself, “But I will not act yet, I will give them plenty of time to decide for themselves and change their ways only if they want to.”

All over the country there were thousands of Mr Dollar men doing the same thing. Thousands of people couldn’t pay and their sorrow and despair reached the goddess Kali. Thousands of couples had their lives wrecked by a group of humans known as the Dollar men. Hopes and dreams galore were smashed to bits. The goddess Kali was watching and listening.

Television does a good job of reporting the stress, anxiety, and heartache of the people. This situation is sad, really sad. I do not like to see people suffer. What I wish for them is to have a clean family life, strong satisfying relationships, and good fulfilling lives. Instead I see reality…

The goddess Kali gives plenty of signs to Mr Dollar man. Signs in the form of news, documentaries, and broadcasts on the havoc Mr Dollar man was making. Still Mr Dollar man did not change his ways. All he could think about was himself and his getting more boys toys for his hungry ego. Goddess Kali is watching the entire show. What the Goddess saw shocked her. There were thousands of Mr Dollar men all doing the same thing. They all had the same attitude. “Feed me and my ego. Stuff you and everyone else.”

Finally one day the goddess Kali had enough. In an instant she blinked an eyelid and an entire Western city with its inhabitants of 10,000,000 people was laid to waste. There was no more Dollar Street since it no longer existed. Mr Dollar man didn’t survive either. Several minutes after the goddess Kali blinked her eyelid the dust settled and the city looked like Hiroshima after the dropping of the atom bomb. Mr Dollar man, no longer with his physical body, was floating above the devastation, waiting before he was to be taken away for processing, then recycled, and given a new body.

He met the goddess Kali on the way and started complaining to her. “You cruel and wicked god,” said Mr Dollar man, “How dare you take away my business, my life, and everything I stand for.”

The goddess Kali replied,” My poor man, many signs I gave you, and much suggestion to change your ways. You did not to listen. You now have the result you now have.”
